The Golden Plain is said to be named for the yellow flowers that cover it in the late spring and early summer. The Dwarven Road leads out of town directly into the Golden Plain. No one alive has followed it for more than a few leagues, or knows where it goes. The Red Riders say that orc tribes populate the plain.
